Photoshop File Preparation

Photoshop and Resolution: Create a document using 72-100 dpi as your target for final output resolution at 100% size. ( a 10” x 10” @ 300 dpi can be enlarged to 30“ x 30” @ 100 dpi )

Photoshop and Colour: If you supply files in RGB, please be aware of possible color shift when translating an RGB image to a CMYK print.

Photoshop and Layers: Please do not flatten images. If we are required to make any adjustments to your files we need your working artwork layers.

Photoshop and Fonts: If you are using fonts in Photoshop, please either include the fonts with your artwork or rasterize the font layer.

Saving your files: Save your document as either a .tif or an .psd. Include layers if at all possible

Illustrator File Preparation

Illustrator and Images: All images should be embedded. If you are linking images to your file, please ensure that you have updated your links. Include all used images with your artwork ~ linked or embedded.

Illustrator and Colour | Pre-Press Colour Proofing is Recommended: Specify all PMS Colours. We can not guarantee an exact pantone match. We recommend select pantones from the “Pantone Solid Coated” library to achieve the most accurate colour results. Please do not specify metallic or fluorescent colors, as it is impossible to reproduce these colors with CMYK inks.

Illustrator and Fonts: Please convert all text to be outlines.

Saving your document: Save your artwork in .eps or .ai format. Please do not save FINAL PRINT files as PDF documents. PDFs should be for proofing only. Remember to collect all images to go with your document, even if you have embedded the images.
